Every time the Guinness World Records book is published one expects it to contain some really amazing records and people. The 2012 edition of the book is now in its 57th year and as the trend goes on, it includes illustrious record holders that have left the spectators amazed with their acts and deeds.
The latest issue of Guinness World Records 2012 book includes people like Rob Hull, owner of the world’s largest collection of Daleks, the owner of the world’s largest afro and many more. From the world’s most pierced man, the longest tongue and the world’s fastest wedding chapel lot many records have been made.

1. World’s longest finger nails
Christine ‘The Dutchess’ Walton from Las Vegas, USA is the proud owner of the world’s longest fingernails. Her left and right hands nails measure 10ft 2in (309.8cm) and 9ft 7in (292.1cm) respectively.
Aevin Dugas from New Orleans, USA, is the proud owner of the largest natural afro with a circumference measuring 4 ft. 4 in (1.32 m) and is featured in the new Guinness World Records 2012 edition.
3. World’s longest journey by skateboard
Robert Thompson has become the record holder for the longest journey by skateboard (25000km).
4. Long Tongue
Measuring 3.8 inches (9.75 cm), Chanel Tapper from California, USA, has the longest tongue and is the new Guinness World Records 2012 holder.
5. Largest collection of cows
Denise Tubangui, the owner of the world’s largest collection of cows and has become the record holder for this.
6. Fastest Wedding Chapel
Introducing ‘The Best Man’, a 1940s fire truck that’s been converted into a wedding chapel. Created by Rev. Darrell Best from Illinois, USA, this wedding chapel is capable of reaching a speed 99 km/h (62 mi/h).
Rob Hull from Doncaster, UK is the proud owner of the largest collection of Daleks including 571 different models. For now the Guinness officials have not verified it so we can’t say exactly that he us the winner.
8. Pooch Hound
Harbor is the dog with the longest ears and has been featured in Guinness World Records book.
9. Skipping Dogs
Most number of dogs skipping on a rope. With 13 dogs skipping together, Uchida Geinousha’s ‘Super Wan Wan Circus’ in Japan has become the Guinness World Record holder.
10. World’s largest violin
The world’s largest violin is 4.28 meters tall, 1.45 meters wide and weighs over 100 kilograms was made by twelve Luthiers in Markneukirchen, Germany.
