X-rays for various purposes is being used from the time immemorial. Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen is usually credited as its discoverer of x-rays. It was in the year 1895 when the terminology- X-ray came into being.
X-rays are used for the medical purposes, airport security and much more that require proper scrutiny. Hard X-rays can penetrate solid objects and their most common use is to take images of the inside of objects, human bodies.
